Qui est Madeleine ?

Madeleine Chalmel habite Châteauguay depuis plus de 46 ans. Elle a choisi d’y élever sa famille et de participer à la vie économique locale. Femme d’affaires, elle vient de vendre l’entreprise qu’elle exploitait avec son mari dans le Parc Industriel de Châteauguay depuis plus de 25 ans. 

Auparavant, elle a eu une boutique dans le Centre Régional de Châteauguay pendant plusieurs années.  En plus d’avoir toujours démontré un intérêt pour la politique municipale (elle suit les séances du conseil régulièrement depuis une douzaine d’années), Madeleine a aussi fait du bénévolat dans différents organismes dont Le Service d’impôts bénévole du Suroit. 

Elle a décidé de pousser son engagement plus loin en se présentant aux élections municipales.  Elle souhaite pouvoir apporter son expertise à la relance de notre économie et de notre communauté, contribuer à améliorer la qualité des services aux citoyens et apporter plus de transparence dans les communications avec les citoyens.

Who’s Madeleine ?

Madeleine Chalmel lives in Châteauguay since over 46 years. She chose to raise her family here and be an active part of the local economy. A businesswoman, she has just sold the business that she had operated for over 25 years with her associate and also husband in our Industrial Park. Previously, she had a boutique in the Chateauguay Regional Mall for several years. 

In addition to having always shown an interest in municipal politics (she has been attending council meetings regularly for a dozen years), Madeleine has also volunteered in various organizations, including the Service d’impôts bénévole du Suroit.

She decided to push her commitment even further by running for municipal elections. She wants to be able to bring her expertise to the reboot of our local economy and our community life, help improve the quality of services to citizens and bring more transparency to communications with citizens.
